Local Seasons:
Kansas City has four distinct seasons, making each time of year unique. Summer does tend to be the busiest time of year as travelers hit the roads for summer vacation. Fall can also be busy, particularly on weekends as the leaves turn and the temperatures drop. As both a business and leisure destination, visitors should be prepared to dress accordingly, depending on the time of year. In July and August the temperature can exceed 90 F with humidity in the high 80s. However, evening temperatures do drop below 70 F, making it an ideal time for an evening stroll followed by dinner at one of the city's many fine restaurants. Spring and fall are quite pleasant with the average daily temperature around 60 F. Both seasons bring an abundance of color as the seasons change. Winters are cold and there is frequent snow, transforming the city into a winter wonderland.
